For the entire fiscal year, the Savanah port moved 5.67 million TEUs, just shy of the 5.7 million TEUs logged in 2025, said Georgia Ports Authority (GPA) officials in a press release. GPA's Appalachian Regional Port handed a record 49,319 intermodal containers in the entire FY26, up at least 20% from its total in FY25. In FY26, the GPA moved 541,405 containers by rail at its Mason Mega Rail facility, marking the third consecutive year it has moved over half a million containers. Rail cargo accounted for 17% of Savannah's total container trade in FY26, with the rest being moved by truck, GPA officials said. GPA's Port of Brunswick moved 763,122 units of roll-on/roll-off cargo in FY26, down 12.4% from FY25 due to challenges in the sector. For the month of June, RoRo volume was 58,599 units, down 12.4% from the same month last year.
