Krasnoe Sormovo Shipyard Delivers Two RSD59 Dry Cargo Ships

Krasnoe Sormovo Shipyard has delivered two RSD59 Project dry cargo ships to the customer, United Shipbuilding Corporation said in a statement. Before their delivery, the vessels completed trials in the Volga River when yard specialists tested their main engines, rudder propeller units, navigation and communication systems in real conditions. The RSD59 Project dry cargo ships belong to the Volgo-Don max class that has maximal dimensions allowing to operate in the Volga-Don Channel. They are designed for transporting general cargo, breakbulk, grain, packaged sawn goods, logs, metal scrap, rolled metal products, high and heavy cargo, coal, as well as hazardous materials.
